WHO WE ARE

Shamus is a problem solver. Clients across the country—especially in California and Nevada, where Shamus is licensed—turn to him to grapple with sophisticated and vexing issues. A combat-tested leader with an inherent bias for action, Shamus vigorously advocates for his clients’ interests.

His practice centers on personal injury, complex commercial litigation, and appeals. He handles cases from the first pleading through trial, and has guided clients through mediations and appellate proceedings at both the state and federal levels.

After law school, Shamus served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Johnnie B. Rawlinson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit—the largest and busiest federal appellate court in the country. He then began his legal career at Baker Botts, a leading global firm, where he litigated complex regulatory matters involving energy, land use, infrastructure, protected species, mining, and appeals. Shamus then founded and operated two separate law firms before joining Campione Law.

Prior to law school, Shamus served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, where his tour of duty included a one-year combat deployment to Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Combat Action Ribbon for his actions in Afghanistan.

Shamus graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law, cum laude. He then attended and graduated from NYU School of Law’s taxation LLM program. After law school, served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Johnnie B. Rawlinson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Shamus grew up in Orange County, California. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, watching football, and reading.
